Republicans Want To Rewrite A New Loan Law
December, 2010, Republicans believe that the measures regarding loans, forced through in the last legislative session by Democrats might be canceled. By these measures, an individual can take out not more than $1,500.
Republicans want this law to be abolished, since it puts a strain on auto and payday lenders, for whom it becomes tougher to do business. They believe that limiting loan amounts to $1500, the government goes too far and certainly not along the right way.
Controversy over payday lending legislation played a role in Janesville voters booting Assembly Speaker Mike Sheridan in favor of upstart Republican Joe Knilans in the November election. Posted on Sat, 2011-03-19 08:39
